Toyota invests in Wa³brzych

Toyota Europe Engineering & Maintenance SA is investing over 2.6 million EUR in the Wa³brzych Special Economic Zone (WSEZ). At the new factory of forms for the production of car parts, 10 new jobs will be created.
Toyota's junior firm has received permission for the purchase of a site of 1.2 ha within a Wa³brzych subzone. By the end of March 2010 a production plant is to be set up there, which will also cooperate in the WSEZ with its sister company - Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland, which produces engines and gearboxes.
Four companies from the Toyota Group have already invested in the WSEZ; three of them in Wa³brzych and one of them in Jelcz. Toyota Europe Engineering & Maintenance's plant will be the company's first investment on the Polish market.
Currently Toyota is represented in Poland by the firm Toyota Motor Poland - a distributor of cars and spare parts, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland - the manufacturer of manual gearboxes and petrol engines, Toyota Motor Industries Poland - the producer of diesel engines, Toyota Bank Poland - a provider of financial services and Toyota Leasing Poland - providers of leasing services.
The WSEZ has been operating since 1997. Its 27 subzones run across the areas of four voivodships: Dolno¶l±skie, Opolskie, Wielkopolskie and Lubuski.
